PRIVACY POLICY
Privacy Policy
Everlink Support (ABN 73 701 759 426) is dedicated to meeting the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission standards and the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy outlines how we manage your personal and sensitive information in the context of providing Brisbane-based community support services.
What Information We Collect
We collect information required to deliver NDIS supports safely and effectively. This includes: identity and contact details (name, date of birth, address, email, phone number), NDIS participant number and plan dates, emergency contact and nominee details, and legal information (such as guardianship orders or powers of attorney).
Sensitive & Health Information
Given the nature of NDIS services, we collect sensitive information, including health records, disability specifics, cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and medical management plans. We only collect this information when it is directly relevant to your care and with your informed consent.
Why We Collect Information
Your information allows us to: assess your eligibility and needs for specific supports, develop and implement individualised service agreements, ensure health and safety during community participation, process billing via the NDIS portal or plan managers, and meet mandatory auditing and reporting obligations to the NDIA.
How We Share Information
Everlink Support does not sell or rent your personal information. We disclose information only to: relevant NDIS bodies, plan managers or support coordinators (as authorised by you), medical professionals in an emergency, or as required by Australian law. We require all partner organisations to maintain confidentiality standards equivalent to our own.
Data Security
We employ strict security measures to protect information from unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. Electronic data is stored in encrypted environments, and physical records are stored in secure, locked facilities. Staff are trained in privacy protocols and access is limited to a 'need-to-know' basis.
Access & Correction
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and request corrections if you believe it is inaccurate or out of date. Requests for access should be made in writing via the contact details below.
Privacy Complaints
If you have concerns about how your information is handled, we encourage you to contact us directly. We will respond to complaints within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) or the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
