NDIS BASICS
Understanding Your Support
We make learning about the NDIS easy for you and your family.
What is an NDIS support worker?
They are people who visit you at home or in town to help you live a better life, reach your goals and join in activities that you enjoy doing every day.
What is Community Access?
This means getting help to leave the house so you can visit shops, see friends, go to appointments or go to the movies with a worker.
What is In-Home Support?
This is help provided inside your house with daily tasks like cooking or getting ready for the day, made just for what you need to do.
Can the NDIS fund cleaning or gardening?
Yes, if you cannot do these tasks because of your disability, they can be included in your plan. It is best to check your own funding details to be sure.
Can I choose my support worker?
You have the right to choose who works with you. Everlink listens to who you like and matches you with people who have the right skills and the right personality.
Can I request a Mandarin-speaking support worker?
Yes, we try our best to find workers who speak your language and know your culture. This helps you feel comfortable and makes communicating much easier for you.
